Saints are real-life heroes and heroines of faith who inspire us by their virtues to become more like Christ. In this series of beautifully illustrated early reader books, these real stories come to life and connect with today’s children, ages 4 to 9.

This kind and cheerful priest worked with wayward boys and gave them a sense of purpose and hope. John Bosco treated the boys with respect and taught them right from wrong. He founded the Salesians (for the education of boys) in 1859. He is the patron saint of young boys, Catholic publishers, and laborers. January 31st is his feast day.
