When a warm summer is silently choked by a chilling autumn wind, the geese are compelled to leave the familiar pond they were born and brought up, which is also their comfort zone. The water on the other side is warm and inviting but the journey is difficult. As they make the exodus emotional ties are left behind and a soft wail of sorrow is heard. Can a wail of sorrow or a refrain in delirium turn into a song of celebration? ‘An Immigrant’s Song’ is a tale of survival as the author poetically and satirically unfolds the impact of loneliness and social isolation when values religious convictions and concepts of the East collide with those of the West. When familiarity fades and connections fail an immigrant finds consolation in the person Jesus Christ. Discover it in the Immigrant’s Song.
