This Last Supper artwork has a very emotive tone illustrated by its somewhat darkened tones and choice of colors, accessories, and lighting. It is at this table that Jesus reveals that one of His disciples will betray him, that Peter will deny knowing him, and that they should prepare themselves for his departure. A shocking and sad time.

This rendition of the Last Supper is very reminiscent of that by Leonardo da Vinci. Jesus is sat at the center of the table as the 12 apostles gather and are shocked to find that there is a traitor among them.

In this Last Supper scene, we find an intimate gathering of Jesus and the apostles. They are not distanced by a long table as is common in many Last Supper portraits but instead, all are close to Jesus and listening to his every word as tonight he reveals that he will be betrayed and he is to prepare for his departure.
