Includes brief Biblical Dictionary in Russian.Bible Books of Holy Scripture of the Old and New Testaments Canonical In Russian translation with parallel passages and applicationsIn this edition, the text of the Synodal Translation of 1876 is verified with the Hebrew text of the Old Testament and the Greek text of the New Testament to eliminate inaccuracies made in the preparation of previous editions of the canonical Russian Bible. Words added by translators for clarity and connection of speech are in italics. In the text of the Old Testament, the words taken by the authors of the Synodal Translation from the Septuagint (Greek Bible) are enclosed in square brackets. In the present edition, these inserts from the Greek Bible are preserved only where, from the point of view of modern textual criticism, the Greek text may be closer to the original than the Hebrew text that has come down to us. In the text of the New Testament, words taken from the Slavic translation or later Greek manuscripts are enclosed in square brackets. The publication is accompanied by a Dictionary of Borrowed, Rare and Obsolete Words, so some of the footnotes of previous editions turned out to be superfluous and were omitted.Russian Description: 1876 . , . , ” “. , ( ). , , , , . , . , , .
