There are so many distressing things that we go through and Saint Monica was no stranger to loss and pain. She is the patron saint of abused victims. Her husband had a violent temper and appears to have been of dissolute habits. She is the mother of St. Augustine.

Pray to St. Monica for her intercession to keep us safe and maintain peace.
