The clean white finish gives the piece a timeless, chapel-like quality that suits both modern and traditional Catholic homes. Crafted by Goldscheider of Vienna, renowned for devotional art since 1885.

Mary, Model of Prayer

The image of the Praying Madonna draws from centuries of Catholic art depicting Our Lady in her role as intercessor and model of contemplative prayer. Mary’s fiat her complete surrender to God’s will is the foundational act of Christian discipleship. A statue of the Praying Madonna in the home is an invitation to imitate that surrender, to pause in the busyness of daily life and turn toward God as Mary always did. She intercedes constantly for her children, and this image reminds us to bring our prayers to her.
