This pendant has a beautiful raised center image of St. Roch. He is flanked by two angels, set in a village scene, and the dog beside him who is said to have licked his wounds until they healed.

St. Roch was said to have been born with a red cross on his chest and from an early age a devote Christian. He is best known for his work with the poor and sick, specifically those who had fallen ill from the plague.

He is the patron saint of dogs, plagues, epidemics, knee problems, falsely accused people and others.
