Set against the backdrop of World War II, the film “Meet Frank Jenner” delves into the life and mission of this ordinary man who felt a divine calling on the streets of Sydney, Australia.Jenner’s approach was straightforward yet impactful. He felt compelled to ask individuals, particularly military personnel passing through Sydney harbor, a thought-provoking question about their eternal destiny: ‘If you died within 24 hours, where would your soul be in eternity, Heaven or Hell?’ This question, posed during a time when the reality of death was ever-present, led many to contemplate their spiritual lives more deeply and resulted in numerous conversions. The documentary, directed by Gary Wilkinson, explores how Jenners bold and direct method of outreach not only transformed the lives of those he encountered but also influenced future approaches to evangelism. It paints a portrait of Jenner as a sincere and earnest man, driven by a desire to share the transformative message that had profoundly impacted his own life. What makes this film particularly poignant is its exploration of the broader lesson of Jenner’s life: the importance of listening to and obeying Gods call, and of finding appropriate ways to share the gospel in one’s own life context. Rather than presenting Jenner’s method as a one-size-fits-all solution, the film encourages viewers to find their own unique ways to live out their faith and share their beliefs.”Meet Frank Jenner” is an inspiring documentary, ideal for those interested in the history of evangelism, spiritual biographies, or for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of how ordinary people can make an extraordinary impact through faith and obedience.
